Sock Hop & Air Conditioning

Last night was our campgrouds last blast and it was a sock hop. Great singers... Kids were out daning and we had a great time. Jack decided  that he was tired and wanted to go home so I left a bit early to put him to bed. On a other note... our front roof air is giving us troubles. I think the compresser is going... So I called camping world and of course the cheepest roof air for us is about 750.00. So better to get it fixed now then having no air in AZ this fall. Going to look for work camper job in AZ for after we get done in MO this summer. We got the screen room up and of course it is a bit to big... going to have a guy come and cut it down and sew it back together... hope it works.... Untill later

Trout Creek 500

We are the official winners of the Trout Creek 500 race !! We had a great time and lots of people turned out for the race. It was suppose to be done last week but got rained out... Great time. Oh we now have hot water also! Had a hard time trying to get the hot rod hooked up but it got done and finally have hot water !! Anyone that has ever lived without hot water knows it is not a very fun thing!! Other than that that is about all we have been up to. Looking forward to going to MO in May. We will be leaving on the 3rd of May and taking our time going up though AL and TN. If you will be in those areas please feel free to look us up !! Kids are doing well with there homeschooling !! LP Delivered

Well The LP was delivered...YA!! We now have a working stove and HEAT !!! I know heat in FL??? Yes it gets cold during the night !! We tried to hook up the water heater but no luck there... So back to the bath house for our showers... We ordered a heat rod for the water heater that will convert the LP to 110 electric... so a couple more days. Kids are so excited... we are going to Disney on Friday. We were also excepted at the Y in MO for the summer. We will be leaving FL around the 3rd of May. We will be stopping in AL and Tn for a few days to rest and visit. We should be in MO for the whole summer then on to AZ for the winter. So much going on here at the park. We are going to a talent show tonight. Free beer and wings YA!! Well, until next time

Total Freedom

We are officaily free from a house !! Living fulltime in the rv!! Looks like we may be going to MO for the summer. I may have a workcamper job working with horses and giving ridding lessons !!! Ya!! Then we may either come back to Fl or go out to AZ for the winter! The kids love the camping life !! Made a friend and are learning so much !! They do there bookwork but nothing like learning hands on. They learned how to  fish an get to see the animals of the water !! I made homemade chocolates today !! Yummy !! I think I may sell them at the shows and rallies.. Everyone loves them ! So much exciting things coming up. I am trying to settle on a mail forwarding service. I need a IL address if possable and the only one I can find that has one is Earthclass mail. Anyone use that one?? Well goodnight all

The big fish !!

We bought the kids fishing poles today and they had a blast... no injuries either !! Savannah caught her first fish Ya Savannah !! Not much else going on...

Fulltime Families

I fixed it !!!

I fixed the faucet !!! All by myself!! Very easy fix, just unscrew the bottom part pull off and put new one in hole and screw back on !!! Wheee... I can now do dishes without stress !! Other than that, nothing much going on today. Just relaxing and kids are swimming !!

Water....

Well we needed a new faucet for the kitchen sink. Someone put the wrong size on and it only reached the inside corner of the double sink. Imposable to wash dishes. Drove south to a parts store for RV's and of course they did not have one... so back to the rv and will go tomorrow to another parts store to see if I can find one. Lowes did not have anything we could use :(

Well tonight was the big Chili cookoff... I did not win AND no one got food poisoning LOL... Good chili's and good times with new friends !! JJ is making friends fast and everyone loves the kids. Savannah wants to sign up for the talent show.... Jack is just Jack... Little ham !! So far this has been a enjoyable time. We are planning on being here in Homosassa until at least June or until the bugs drive us crazy... or eat us alive. Dog, cat and rats doing well also... Until later...

We made it !!!

JJ, 2 kids, 2 rats, 1 dog, 1 cat and myself... Check... We made it to the Campground.... YAAA. Motor home all hooked up went to a dance here at the campground had a great time... Time to take a shower...Uh Oh No propane... humm we are all hooked up... uhhh time to unhook and drive up to office and get propane... at least it is half price for work campers... I will keep you posted...

What a nightmare

Ok, So the past week was not a fun one... We were suppose to be at our work camping job on Monday. As I said before we bought a minni winnie for the local Chevy dealership... Well we picked it up on Monday at 4:30... The tech drove it out of the bay and JJ got in to drive away and geuss what... Battery gage was bouncing... The tech say " Oh you need to get up to 1500 RPS and it will be fine.... this just after him putting in a new alternator (sp).... Oh did I say how the antifreeze was pouring out of the front??? UHHGGG I got out of the trailblazer and told the tech that this was not right... DUHHHH... He bled the radiator and say it was fine and we could go.... Get it home about 10 min drive and guess what.... DEAD IN THE DRIVEWAY !!! SOOOO I called the dealership and demanded my money back or I was going to call every God fearing TV station in the state of Florida... Manager of dealership said to bring it back in the morning... AHHH it doesnt start... He said to call a tow truck and they would pay... Ya they will pay...
So Tues morning rolls around and I get my money back.... Looked at a privet sale Large 33 foot Winnebago class A... Half the price and 100% better than the minnie...More tomorrow..

Deciding to RV full time...

Well I am sure our family and friends are going to completely think we are nuts... on average we have been moving way to much SOOOO we decided to buy a rv and become full timers. Let me make it perfectly clear we have no idea what we are doing other than we know this feels right... We homeschool our kids and what better way to teach them than teaching about our great country and seeing what the world has to offer. Let me introduce us for those who dont know us... My name is Christine, my husband Jim (JJ) and Savannah 8 and Jack 5.
Jim and I have done allot of research on full timing and we now feel confident that we want to do this... We are supposed to pick up our motor home today. We are buying a 1991 Mini Winie. Used obviously... We will keep you posted. Our plan is to pick up, load and get in the RV LOL... Ok so we are members of all RV associations now due to us going to a RV rally in Brooksvlle last week. We are going to be headed off to Homosassa FL in a couple days... I will post later...
